The concept of ‘Startup’ defines a series of work, which should be met while establishing or directing the venture toward attaining the goal.

In Bangladesh, the ambit of this concept is rapidly growing, especially to the youths, that pushes up the employment, economic inflow, technological advancement, product or service innovation, etc.

There are some key components of a startup, that includes the scope of uniqueness at work, employment creation, and the touch of technology, that ultimately add values not only to the individuals, but also to the national economy of a country.

In this writing, we will discuss 4 successful startups in Bangladesh, that are operating their functions in different arenas.

Ticket Bhai:

Ticket Bhai started its journey in 2024 by some enthusiasts, who are Shayaan Husain, Numayr Habib, Saadman Masud, Sumaiya Salsabil, and Schezin Masud. The motive of the startup is to collect ticket on behalf of the different individuals for different cultural events or concerts.

As people always try to attend several kinds of festivals, where they will get the chance to observe that with their favourite celebrity or singer, but it is not always possible for the difficulties at collecting event tickets, so Ticket Bhai gives a solution for that obstacle.

Through contacting the authority of this startup, anyone can easily buy the ticket, that gives him/her the opportunity to observe that festival smoothly. Also this organisation works for managing sponsorship for the organisations in term of arranging cultural programmes or musical shows.

Zantrik:

Zantrik started its journey in 2018, believing the motive to serve the people regarding maintenance and after work service of the automobiles. Muhtasim Mahdi Al-Farooque (Shubho) and Biplob Chandra Biswas are the founders of this startup, who first thought about to launch that type of customer service, where the car users can access the scope of a series of services, including car washing, car reparation, registration of the automobiles, port facilities while importing from abroad, etc., through using a mobile application.

This startup is now operating their activities all over Bangladesh, having a number of garages by their ownership to serve the customers according to their needs.

Biplob Chandra Biswas, one of the Co-founders of Zantrik, said, “The car owners of our country often have to face hassle while getting their services from different garages, as they do not know always where to get the best services or equipments for their car. So, we have introduced this business so that they can avail those facilities easily and need not face hassle while taking their services.”

“We are also planning to provide skilled drivers to the car owners and providing the necessary information while buying automobiles, as they sometimes have the lack of information regarding these issues, which may call problems for them”, he added.

Moar:

Moar works for the professionals by managing working place for their businesses or corporate work. Nabila Nowrin and Nahid Sharmin are the founders of Moar who started this venture in 2015.

As the new comers in the field of entrepreneurship often face obstacles to manage their office or working place due to budgetary constraints, Moar has come up to make the solution for this problem.

This organisation rents out working place for those persons, that includes several rent options ranging from 1 hour to 1 months or more. There are also the scope to arrange round table conference, podcast, meeting room etc., in each of the location of Moar at Dhaka city.

Lumocity:

Lumocity is a student-led startup founded by Md. Shadid Al Hadi. It works for making neon lights in accordance with customization. This startup started its journey in 2023. Md. Shadid Al Hadi, founder of Lumocity, said, “I got inspired to start this kind of business by watching different foreign movies, as they used different kinds of attractive neon lights at their scenes. After that, I started this kind of business, and I got very well feedbacks from the customers.”

Lumocity basically produces colourful neon lights according to the customer demands. As a number of people in Bangladesh are now getting interested to decorate their living places or office rooms for having an aesthetic vibe, but often they can not find their cherished lights for the lack of customized services, Lumocity come up with this facility. Also the authority of Lumocity is thinking to launch a new chapter of their business where the customers may enjoy the virtual reality scope to have a prior experience of their lights.
